This week, we are learning the letter Mm, its sound, how to write it, and things that begin with Mm. We are reading the big book, "Homes for Everyone" from our family unit and talking about different types of homes that people can live in. We are working on being kind, respectful and a helper in class. In math, we learned the colors black and white. We painted "It Looked Like Spilt Milk" clouds and labeled them with what we thought they looked like. Check them out in the big hallway hanging from the jump ropes. We are also learning our solid shapes: sphere, cone, cube, and cylinder. In science, we learned about animals and their habitats.
Last week, we talked about our families and how many people were in our family. The cubes on the table represent the number of people in our family. We drew pictures of our families and displayed them outside our classroom. We are working on drawing people with heads, bodies, arms, legs, and facial features. We are also working on coloring things the correct color and staying in the lines when coloring. Here are some pictures of us working hard to draw bodies!
